Sandra Day O'Conner just retired! And, while I'm not one for conspiracy theories, there has got to be something more to this story. Afterall, she is, arguably, the most powerful woman in the US. She was the first woman appointed to the Supreme Court Justice and has held moderately conservative views which kept Roe V. Wade in place, helped get rid of sodomy laws and she continued to keep balance in an old-white-man's archaic justice system.
A friend of mine brought up her worries, the other day. See, now Bush-y get's to help in this process of picking a new SCJustice. In this tide of conservativism, why would she retire now? When most men in the justice are so old they can barely keep their head up and when there are anti-queer anti-woman laws just waiting to be pulled through and pro-minority laws waiting to be overturned, why Sandra?
Me smells threats made on her? What do you smell?
SO FUCKIN' SAD
I'm going to go wank off
