What a lived-up weekend! I hope this doesn't mean I'm starting to like MN, but damb I've had a good weekend and I'm starting to miss it before I've even left. Maybe it's cause I'm starting to let go of trying to make MN more than it is and so now I'm starting to dig it, how Tao of me.
I went and saw All The Pretty Horses on Friday at the Uptown Bar and the show was smashing. I was a little smashed myself(beware of vodka martinis, ewww), only a little though. My composure was still impecable. About the show, Shannon Blowtorch was hot (as was the whole freagin' band), I draged out some of my home-bodied friends, and I met a cool Kat named V, whose in a band called Apocalypse Theatre. I dug V's energy and for shit, I love to meet new peeps. My friend Tim and I stayed in the cities all Saturday and crept around in the 50 degree weather (guad, I heart global warming). They closed off much of Uptown and filled the streets with snow for some ski races led by olympic hopefulls. Tim and I, a little tired and wired (and not midwestern by birth) were mesmerized. It was unreal. Skiing in the middle of the city?!
I got into town that night and without a minute to spare rushed to my friends Cowgirl/Cowboy dress up party. Everyone looked so HOT and my Cowgirl fetish left me dizzy in the corner drinkin' whisky out of flask and wishing my female friends were more slutty, cause hot-damb!!! But I did dance my wranglers off with my dance soul-mate, Steff. Whenever you get a drink in us we dance soooo hard we wake up sore. I almost had to slap some gross boy in a corner who kept hootin' at us and trying to tell us how to dance on each other(like I was dancing for him, grrr). He was already on my shit-list for turning off Wanda Jackson and then dissing Horror Pops. I asked him if he had a problem with female singers and if he would like to take it up with the Switch-blade sisters (the sister gang of Boxcar Betties and Hard-Core Bike Whores) Anyway,COWPOKE= No need to fret cowpokes, pics of this event will be posted, i had a disposable camera which is more in line with my technical ability to scan photos.
