Today, who should come into my store...but John C. fucking Reilly! Oh yeah, you heard: John C. Reilly! For those of you not in the know, you may remember him as Reed Rothchild, Dirk Diggler's best friend in "Boogie Nights", or as Dale Murphy, the guy who says "This is gonna be hard on my little boy," in "The Perfect Storm", or as Officer Jim Carran, who, in one of the best scenes in the movie, loses his gun while chasing a suspect, in "Magnolia". The man is so fucking awesome. So the guy comes to my register, and it takes me about two seconds to realize it's "The Reilly." I even glanced at the name on his credit card and, sure enough, "John C. Reilly". A tall bastard if I ever I did see one. I guess from his films, I pictured him as being sort of short and a tad stocky. To the contrary, he's about 6'2" (granted, I'm 5'7" so everyone's tall to me) and a pretty slender individual.. After he had left, I geeked out like Chad, the star quarterback, had just asked me-ME!!- to the school prom but, alas, all the dorkknobs I work with had no clue who in the hell the great, the legendary John C. Reilly was. Chest Rockwell...in the flesh.
