Busy busy busy little me.

I have a piece (or maybe two) in a supa-freaky cool group exhibition this weekend in St. Henri. I don't actually have the address or time yet, but it's Saturday the 22nd (more info coming soon!). I have another show coming up in Old Montreal in November, and promise to be better...

I AM ALIVE!!
(although I DID die there for a while; I return now in a zombie-like state. It's not a pretty thing)

Um, I have not actually dropped off the planet. More like I've dropped off the inter-web.

Things are new:

I now am lucky enough to have as my roomates the sexy Zak and Wolfmystique, who collectively overwhelm me daily with their...

I am the posterchild for serenity.

I am the motha fuckin' buddha himself.

La "fete nationale" has turned out to be the perfect reason to party all night, paint all day and sleep in past noon. And today, I wake up on day three of this adventure and feel the kind of heat and stillness in the air that takes the urgency out of everyone's...

I would recommend Ottawa.. it's close to Montreal and you can find the only Canadian branch of the world reknown culinary school Le Cordon Bleu there.

Otherwise.. the CIA is probably your best bet, although it's hella expensive, and in USD.

And if you speak Italian.. I'd recommend relocating to Pollenzo and attending the University of the Science of Gastronomy.

At any of these schools you'll be qualified to wear a badge that says "Mess with the best - die like the rest."

I've macked on a Rhode Scholar before.. just keep in mind most smart people are still not that smart.. in a holistic sense. Comprehensivism makes one able to wow most people, regardless of their specialty.

I've found a potent snore can cripple both Wolfmystique & Zak at their wiliest.

You're welcome.

Yeah.. I can understand the impulse in wanting to stay here.. it's an awesome town. I think the school above the Sherbrooke metro has a cooking school element.. but I'm not absolutely sure. Might be worth checking out. You can always just do your best to get a job at one of the best restaurants in town and work your way up.. a good way to learn, you can stay here, and it's a lot cheaper too.

I guess because I studied art, and I don't practice visual art I don't find it as intimidating.. although I find that when I listen to certain bands live or read certain books.. just that feeling of .. ugh.. I'll never make something this good.

I've been to the contemporary gallery.. went there a few weeks ago.. very cool. Montreal's a great town for art.

I am just a little afraid of falling asleep tonight, lest I should wake up as a puddle of my former self. The doctors will diagnose me "melted, following extended exposure to 'sauna-like conditions; in patient's apartment."

I feel like my entire body is trying to return to a liquid state; If I stay out on my balcony too long, I might spontaneously evaporate into...

I called home from work today and left a mesage for my roommate. Later, having forgotten all about the aforementioned call, I checked my answering machine and listened to my own message. My first thought was actually "whoa, who IS this guy with that voice?". It kind of freaked me out. I didn't know I sounded like that.

My dorkiness has reached a critical level,...

i still think your cool too. In fact you might be too cool..................think about that
psyko514:
Did you think the voice was all sexy then got creeped out when you realized it was you?

Do you still work at the print shop, and if so, do you do tshirts? If so, how much for a run of 20 black or navy blue tshirts with white text on the front and back?

Holy crap, Batman.

I think my brain is frying inside my head. It's too frikin' hot in my apartment. I want to just sleep on my balcony tonight.

The news in brief:

:: I spent the last week working as a stagehand for a tapdancing show. It's a long story.

::I may have found a beautiful argentinian woman to give me private tango lessons. And...

Today is Zak's big day.

Go check out her amazing new set. If you've already seen it once, go see it again.

Oh and the other thing: she's actually even cooler than she is gorgeous.

She's also giving me five dollars for saying all these nice things about her (even though she deserves every last one).

That five dollars is gonna keep me in...

One night stand!

(is the name of the multidisciplanary art show that's showing one of my prints)

Book off your saturday. Adam is showing for the first time in Quebec and wants your love!

Yeah, it's only one piece, but that's the catch of the evening - only one piece per artist. I have no idea how many other people we're talking about here; could...

The last three albums I've bought have all had parental advisory warnings.

Maybe I should advise my parents.

"Hi sweetheart. How are you?"
"Good, thanks Mom. Listen. I just heard a song where the nice singer said "asshole" then later "goddamned motherfucker".
"Hmm, I see. Hold on, let me put your father on"
"Son? You there?"
"Hey Dad"
"Now don't panic. We'll figure this out"...

Among my favorite things about living in Montral is the way you can find almost anything in the trash if you're willing to look.

As luck would have it, yesterday I found a complete bicycle in a pile in front of my building. It's cherry red with shiny black fenders, has big curved handlebars and is awesome beyond argument. It's totally the bike my father...

I'm not quite sure how to react to the Ryan Adams show last night. It's always a little unsettling to see your musical heroes embarass themselves on stage. The music was top notch, but the star spent the night tripping over things, dropping other things, powering through two bottles of wine, getting worried looks from his band and stopping in the middle of songs to...

I'm confused (again!)... Is there such a person as Ryan Adams? cause if there is... is he related to:
- Bryan Adams (I mean, starguitar fucked me good with his comment there)
- grizzly Adams
- Morticia Adams and the whole Adams family
- Adams Sandler
