Sorry I've been absent. I've got tour and finals on the brain. But mostly tour. I can't say I've adequately studied for any of my finals thus far. Although not all of that was due to tour. There was an impromptu date my best friend and I had. It included the gym (which was the original plan... but we were supposed to study after!), some shopping and impulse buying, and a movie at the cheap theatre. 23 is a fantastic movie and I want it when it comes out on dvd. Wantwantwant. This date, as you can see, greatly cut into our studying time. But it made me happy and less stressed, and thus it was a good thing.
I worked this morning. Some crazy lady kept bringing her random friends she found at the farmers market to come and admire how adorable my hair was. And still is. I heart my pigtails. And my bangs.
But now! I must do a bit more tour awesomeness (as it finally seems to be coming together) and then out to lunch! Mmmm olive garden.
Edited to add:
OH YEAH!!!
And I got 2 jobs for the summer!!! They are the ones I wanted too!
The first one I got in the usual way. With the applying and the waiting and the interviewing and the waiting and the superfantastic phone call saying I got it! So I will be working for the City of Edmonton doing their parks program! Yay playing with kids all day!!
The second one was really exciting for me. I went with my resume and application to drop it off at a greenhouse. On the way I realized I should have noted that I would not be available for an interview during tour. So when I got there and talked to the guy in charge of it, he asked me if I had time to do the interview right then. Which I did. Go me! And after the interview he immediately gave me the job. Because I am awesome and full of experience. This has got to be the least stressful job finding experience ever. Except for my mother simply writing me on the schedule and telling me I had a job and had better be there. But that is different.
So anyway! I start at the greenhouse the day I get back from tour and it worked out perfectly because the busy season for a greenhouse starts to slow down right about when I have to go work for the city. So much awesome.
