Sorry for the commercial sounding personal plug, I just wanted to get this out everywhere.
Shameless plug begin now:
So, for years I have wanted to do this, but I've just never fully committed myself. I decided a while ago that I would this year no matter what, and last night I officially signed up for the 7 day, 545 mile AIDS LifeCycle San Francisco...

I've ingested enough tea in the last couple of days to drown an ostrich.
That right, I said it. And yes, I have no idea what it means. But let me tell you, it's plenty. Organic Green Jasmine, straight Green, Chamomile, Chai Spice, English Breakfast and the plethora that it comes with. I just can't get enough of this stuff.
Really, if I hadn't been...

How'd your Halloween concert go?
Everyone around me is falling prey to the sickness of early fall. I'll be getting my flu shot soon but some people are already getting the preliminary version of it already. Yucky...... I hope I can fend it off as valiantly as you. I guess tea is the trick. That, and an ostrich.

Here comes another long weekend.
Seems my autumns are full of them.
4 lessons this afternoon, then I head straight up the peninsula 40 minutes to Redwood City for a dress rehearsal. Home by 10ish.
Then tomorrow I teach at the high school from 9 to 5, then a quick dinner and into the suit I go for the Halloween Concert with the symphony. Should...

So, the next door neighbor put up a "Yes on 8" sign. Those that don't know in California, Prop 8 is the Proposition that is attempting to outlaw same sex marriage.
I don't have much patience for people who force their ideals and lifestyle on others, but I get REAL pissed when people start banning things they don't agree with.
Just fucking get over it....

hi! ^^
Been a while. Again. Every week or so I decide that I should write more, so I come to the ole innerwebs and sit here. All the things I think about all week long disappear, and my thought process goes to sleep mode.
Like any of that matters. Meh.
The Halloween concert with Redwood should be pretty cool this year. We're doing The Simpson's Theme,...

I'm still around.
Just not much to write about.
The semester is well on it's way, which means my schedule is boringly consistent. Teach high school rehearsal, teach private lessons, go to my rehearsals, Earthquakes away for a few weeks. Bored.
I have felt that neat feeling lately, the one that fall is approaching. The smell, the feel, the aura in the air, it's on...

I'm glad you enjoy that change into fall. I'm usually a bit saddened by it, mostly because our Pacific Northwst summers are so short. They don't start in earnest until late June (when the rain finally lets up) and we're lucky if we get sunshine into late September. Rainfall starts again by mid-October and then it's soggy grayness until June. It comes with the territory, though. Live in Oregon. Get some rain. Nuff said. We take consolation in the fact that "Seattle has it worse". Whether that's true or not, I'm not sure, but it sounds good.
I'm still half way through the run of Antigone and it's going fairly well. I think the musicians and the actors have finally made peace with one another and with me. I don't feel the urge to murder any longer.....just injure. It's interesting, but they don't seem to make the same mistakes from day to day which tells me they know the shit, it's just that their heads aren't fully into it on a consistent basis. Is that weird???
Are you doing marching band with your high schoolers? THAT was how I always knew it was fall when I was growing up. When the band uniforms got checked out and the permission slips started flying around. The Halloween Concert with the symphony sounds cool. I wish our local wind symphony would do something like that. I think they're doing something Gershwin-y in October.... random!!!
Take care and enjoy that pre-fall weather!

Another long ass weekend. Man, my posts on here seem to be becoming just that. Weekend updates. Oh well. I guess that just means I have kickass weekends.
Ok. Earthquakes win. Bringing our unbeaten streak to 8. Last to 4th place baby. Now we have the first place team twice in a row. Good luck fellas, it's gonna be a tough two weeks. See ya...

I had never even seen The Big Lebowski until just this year, if you can believe it. Instant fave! I love that you guys have a whole festival dedicated to it. That...just....rocks.
Hey your Extra Action folks totally remind me of our very own March Fourth Marching Band. I always said that if SG had a marching band, it would look like March Fourth. Did they try to recruit you? Would you do it, if they did?

Long weekend. Let's see. The combobulated version.
Friday, lessons and BBQ, which meant beers and food. Saturday, Earthquakes game (another win, baby!!) which meant beer and food. More beer than food. By a lot. Sunday BBQ, mini-pseudo-whathaveyou gig, lessons, then out with a kick ass old friend from college. Who, I might add, is only here till tomorrow, damnit. Not enough time, girl, not enough...

Things are going well, now that my schedule is kinda slowly but surely heading back into the world of normality. Fall schedule is almost down, and it looks like it won't be as crazy as I thought. I just love how things line up without much thought or work. Every single weekend this fall is full, taken up with marching band...

So, band camp is going well, but something interesting happened last night that I must get out.
First off, I wore my Liverpool FC soccer jersey to Voodoo Lounge, and TWO guys commented on it. One was a big soccer fan and routed for Benfica, that's coo, the other a Man U (fuck Man U!!) fan who knew the name on the back (Ryan Babel,...
