So, I guess I haven't been around here much. I have, but only checking in every couple days to catch up on threads and what-have-yous and sort of lurking around.
The weather is heating up, I've been spending a boatload of time out on the bike, my private music teaching studio is still growing after taking a big hit due to the recession, and I've been playing a LOT. I've done 5 musicals now since December. Some awesome, like Chicago, of course, some just OK. But whatever, they want to pay me, I'll play whatever.
So, yeah. The new bike: (These pictures are way to big to fit here, but I'm lazy and tired from a training ride today, so if you want to see them, and I know you do, they are in my Pics section in the cycling file. Duh)
Other then that, riding, teaching and playing, well, nothings going on. Same ol stuff. I guess I'm lucky to have a career in something that is more of a hobby, which also gives me plenty of spare time to ride. Works for me.
I guess one big thing is coming up. AIDS/Lifecycle is in abut 3 weeks. 3,000 people riding bikes from the Cow Palace in San Francisco to the Vet Center in LA to raise money for AIDS research, prevention, testing, education and awareness. It's always an incredible adventure, and I can't wait for it!
Click here if you want to be awesome and donate to my ALC ride!
Anyways, that's about it. Time to go teach some high school kids how to play trombone. Yup.
