It's getting close. It's the only thing I can think of. This ride will be the first multi stage event I've ever done. Hell, it will be the first event I've ever done, organized anyway.
Funny, I'm 32, been riding bikes since I was 12 (actually, much younger, but I was 12 when I got my first mountain bike and found the local trail systems) and I've never done anything like this.
Hopefully, it will be the first of many, many rides like it in the future. I'm already looking at several more. Cycle Oregon (thanks dmac), the Markleeville Death Ride, the San Jose Livestrong Challenge, and a few others. Maybe a nice Death Valley century, the Hotter Than Hell Hundred in Texas, and I'm already planning a century around Lake Tahoe in August that I still may turn into a double century.
Hell, even the Race Across America is catching my eye, although I don't race. I just ride for me.
But for now, it's all about the AIDS/Lifecycle. In 2 short little weeks, I'll be on day 3 of 7. Can't wait!

Nice! You should try and take pics, or strap a video camera to your bike.
