Wow, apparently I'm really lagging on the postings-of in here.
Anywho, two days ago marked an important date. That was my first bike ride of 2008. I drove to Grant Ranch Park, then rode up to the top half of Mt. Hamilton to watch the Tour of Cali go over. February 16th, 2008. That was two days ago.
This year, I've already ridden 462 miles. Not only that, but some of the harder rides that I used to have to save for my summer fitness and riding levels are already under the belt.
The 57 mile ride from home to the top of Mt. Hamilton, including climbs over Silicon Valley Rd and Quimby Rd. Check.
The 48 mile ride from home up Hwy 9 to Skyline above Saratoga. Check.
Bernal Rd, Bailey Rd, Hicks Rd, Warm Springs Rd, check check check check.
Home to Gilroy and back. Check.
New personal record from home to Morgan Hill Library. Check. (15.8 miles in 41:41) (Which should break several times this year... The goal is under 30 minutes)
I haven't even been able to ride the last week or so due to weather, since I refuse to ride in the rain or extreme cold, extreme cold being below 50. I've been stuck inside on the trainer watching Chris Carmichael training videos. Which, of course, are always good for a little personal suffering.
So, dammit, get here already warm weather!

Now that's a lot of riding! How were you able to get up to Mt. Hamilton with all the snow?
