Ok time to write.
Things are going well, now that my schedule is kinda slowly but surely heading back into the world of normality. Fall schedule is almost down, and it looks like it won't be as crazy as I thought. I just love how things line up without much thought or work. Every single weekend this fall is full, taken up with marching band shows, concerts for 2 different symphonies, and Earthquakes games. And there are only a couple things that cross over. Good stuff.
Monday I'm playing with my trombone choir at Downtown San Jose's Tapestry and Arts Festival. We play at noon on the guitar stage (OMGWTF?) which is behind the Center for Performing Arts. Should be fun. The group sounded incredible last night.
So, I have about a month left before the one year anniversary of my change in diet and lifestyle. I was doing really well, I went from between 225 and 230 down to 195, but I've been stuck there for a month now. Guess I just need to turn it up a bit. Plus, there's the whole "haven't had time to ride in a few weeks" thing. Gotsa get back out!
Anyway, I leave you with a couple pictures. This is why I love my students. Best in the world! This was a prop that every trombone, baritone, tuba, and melophone player used in the end of the week skits. Awesome.
