Such a fine day, I think I need to be outside. It's one of only a few days off I get in the next 5 weeks. ("Off" meaning only 2 lessons to teach this evening... I don't really get complete days off all that often) The weather thing on my desktop says it should get up to around 70 today. Damn near comfy bike ride weather, so I think it's about time I take the road bike out.
It's been a while. With how busy I have been the last 9 months or so, beginning with deciding to move and set up the house as a renter (June-July ish), going through marching band season at the high school, concert season with 2 (now 3) symphonies and a trombone ensemble, and an ever-exploding private studio (up to 22, not including an email I just received for another) I've been busier than I ever have been, excluding maybe that one semester back in college where I took 20 units, played in 6 ensembles at school and 2 more outside.
Suffice it to say, I have not had much time to get out and ride. But I have been getting the itch to do so, especially now that the weather is heating up. The mountain bike is in the shop, should be done next week. That leaves me with the road bike, which has just been cleaned and re-lubed for spring riding.
Time to get out.

Just another quick shot at a plug for that "Before the Music Dies". Quite possibly one of, if not THE, most important music documentary in the last few decades. I HIGHLY recommend every musician, and music fan, to check it out. It is amazing. Eye opening. Mind blowing. The interviews, the music clips, the ideas, the revelations, all simply awe inspiring.
The Website, with trailer
Oh hell, here's the trailer. Check it out.
