I'll just start right where I left off. Literally five minutes after I posted that blog about needing to get off my duff and contact a photographer, I sent a message to thelabrat seeing if he wanted to shoot. We decided to get together the Saturday of the LA SG book signing and let me see how everything worked out.
So of course the day comes and I leave the house an hour late.

And then we played around and shot a couple of pictures of me. I don't know if we have enough material for a set (probably not) but it was a lot of fun. Hopefully I'll have some more of the pictures from that day up soon.
Then we went for doughnuts and food. And then on to the book signing! It was awesome. All the ladies were so lovely and nice. So many girls were there I can't possibly remember everyone I met that night but I did get to meet: Rigel, Missy (cute as a button, I just wanted to snuggle her), Kemper, Brewin (who I hope to arrange a shoot with in the near future), Muerta, Vivid, Ackley, Haydin, Adria, Callioppe, Leandra, my loves Milloux and Kurosune, and the lovely and charming Radeo! If I forgot a name I'm so sorry lovelies. I also met Hildreth and his lovely lady _zia_ while standing in the line. And I got the last book of the night.
The after party was great too. Poor Radeo was being chased down by all the guys in the bar for photos. She was still out in the street taking pictures with people when we left at 2 am! Such a nice lady!
That night I did talk to Milloux and Brewin about shooting together as well. I don't have any dates set up with Brewin yet but Milloux and I will be getting together next week to shoot something awesome! The location is great and I'm hoping it turns out the way I want it to. I also have a shoot coming up some time in the near future with thelabrat which is going to be so much fun. I had a great time playing around that day and he gave me some great tips for future shoots, so I can't wait to see what more we can do together.
Then I flew home to GA. I missed Connor more than life itself (and I cried when he hugged me in the airport). We stayed at the hotel directly across from the airport so he could watch the planes take off and land and we went to the zoo before we headed south. He had so much fun! The snake house was the best part. He kept asking and asking when we'd get there and then after we finally saw them, he looked at me and said "Okay. We can go home now."
Silly boy.
And of course what would going home be without a good family brawl in the front yard. I felt so bad, because I miss my family so much when I'm out here, but as soon as I get home, they can't let stuff go long enough to have a good time with me. So by the time I was leaving, I was glad to go. I wish we weren't so dysfunctional sometimes.
I got my hands tattooed while I was home too.
Then it was time to say good bye to Connor. That was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. We had to bribe him with Oreos to get him to leave the airport. Then I had to wait 7 hours till I could cry. I can't wait for summer when he's here with me.
But I did a couple of things yesterday to try to cheer myself up...(it kind of worked).
I got a big old cup of my newest addiction:
And I bought my first garter belt:
Hopefully things will get better as we go along, and I have a lot going on to occupy my time so I should be alright.
I update on Instagram a lot more than I do here. Follow me. @paxdarling
Love you all!
I'm in a much better mood now, it must've just been one of those days. My mom was also grumpy, but on the other side of the world.
