So this weekend was amazing! And of course I didn't have a single camera handy!
I can steal some of the Easter pictures from my mom later.
I went out with a couple of friends on Saturday. We hadn't been dancing in a while so we decided to go to the club. A couple of absolutely adorable guys stationed up at the Air Force base came over and asked if we wanted to do some shots. I was the only one legal to drink so of course I did! We ended up dancing and talking the entire night. They were incredibly sweet and such gentlemen. It was so sad when we had to leave but hopefully we'll be hanging out with them again soon!
It also made me realize just how out of shape I am. We used to be able to dance all night with no problems, but we only stayed a couple of hours and I was super sore today. So first thing tomorrow I'm going to slather myself in SPF 50, pop in my headphones, and take off on that 2 mile stretch that I used to run before it got so cold. With a little work I should be running good again by the end of May.
We went to my Mom's house to hunt eggs today. I fell asleep on the couch.
Luckily my mom is wonderful and didn't say anything about me passing out. Connor had a blast. We hid about 40 eggs in the yard and he ran around and would pick one up and cheer. Then put it in his basket (which I ended up holding until he realized that the eggs were full of candy
). It was so cute! Hopefully I'll have pictures up shortly.
And he's finally ready to potty train! It seems so weird to be excited about something like that but I am! We wanted to give him space and let him get interested in it on his own and for a while I thought it wasn't working. But he started following me into the bathroom and sitting on his potty with his diaper on while I was on mine. Then last night while James was in the guest bathroom, Connor ran into ours, grabbed his potty, took it into the guest bathroom and sat down on it until James told him he was done! I know it's not going to happen overnight but little steps like this are awesome, especially when he does things without nudging.
My grandmother is rather displeased with me. She found out about my nose piercing today and then told me that I need to stop dying my hair. I dyed it Friday because it had lightened up a lot, but I left the dye in too long so it's such a dark brown that it looks black if the light isn't hitting it right. I like it personally, but my grandmother and my sister dug into me about how awful it looked. I just shrugged. I like it and that's all that matters.
I also told my sister in law that I would pay for her to get a monroe if she goes with me to get one. She wants one but is worried about what her husband would think. I've already decided that I'm getting one. I told her that she should go for it and if she doesn't like it she can always take it out. Part of me is kind of hoping that she says she will, but I don't think it's going to happen. I can't imagine being worried about what my husband would think of it. He loves me no matter what I do to myself. You figure that would be the important part.
Well that's about it for now! Love you guys!
