I'm sorry there is so much time between these blogs. It seems like almost nothing is going on. And catching up on email and what not just keeps me busy.
I do read everything though! I check several times a day.
Okay! So absolutely incredible spontaneous weekend! With absolutely no pictures. Lol. I kept forgetting my camera.
So Friday night I painted my fingernails because there was literally nothing else to do and I wasn't expecting to do anything over the weekend. I needed something to make me happy. They are bright green.
Then my sister in law comes in and says that her baby sitter (our brother in law) won't watch her daughter anymore because it's not fair that he has to watch 4 kids during the day and she only has to watch 2. (I think he's forgetting that 3 of them are his and 2 of them are in school.) And he wants to do things with his boys so she has to find someone else. She had no one else to watch her. So I volunteered. I don't like her daddy's family so I wasn't going to leave her with them and I love spending time with my niece. It's hard to clean with her around but she's such a sweetie so I don't mind working around her. And I'm kind of hoping that since we're watching her we can convince my sister in law to watch Connor more.
Then Saturday I spent most to the day telling myself that I needed to clean the house, then looking around and not doing it.
During one of these spells of laziness in which we were all (me, James, and my sister in law) sitting in the living room gazing at the TV in sheer boredom, she looks at me and says "So do you guys have any plans for this weekend?" I told her that she was looking at them. So she asked if we wanted to go to the beach. Of course I want to go to the beach! It's been in the high 80s this week. I keep staring across the road at the pool just wishing I could go jump in. Then she says that she wants to drink that night. Not get wasted (not with the kids there) but just drink some. None of us have in a while so we decide that it's a good idea. Well as we're deciding on that and food, James tells us that an old friend just text him saying he was bored. So we invited him over too! We ended up sitting there until 2 am eating pizza, drinking, and playing Phase 10. (Which is probably the longest card game in the world.
) I won.
Well Sunday morning rolls around. We woke up at 7:30. I seriously considered rolling over and going back to sleep but the idea of playing in water was just too great. So I got up. We were out the door at 8:15. It's a 3 hour drive to the beach. We decided to walk around and get some food first. So we walked around, let the kids look at the sail boats at the dock and tried to find some place to eat. I kept getting glared at by all these little old ladies. It was so funny! I told James and he said "I don't know why they're looking at you like that. Their daughters are probably going home and getting dressed in the same thing you are in right now." Which I found hilarious since I was in a pink sundress with a white tank top on under it (it's a little low cut for my taste) and gladiator sandals. I then had to explain to him that I didn't think it was my outfit they were glaring about. He's so oblivious. It's adorable. We finally stopped at this place called the Caribou Cafe. The food there is amazing! Me and my sis in law split this amazing ham, cheese, and apple sandwich. We walked around a little more. During that time my sis in law said that she was thinking about getting a monroe. Which I responded with "Me too!" I have been thinking about it for a while but I felt like a total copy cat. Lol. She probably won't get one though because her husband would freak out when he got home. (He's in Afghanistan right now.) I don't understand it, but that's them.
Then we finally decided to head to the beach. Finding parking was insane! We literally drove around for 30 minutes looking for a spot. We found one, but it was no where near the changing area so we shimmied into our suits in the car. I was the only one okay with this plan. Lol. Then I slathered down the kids and myself in SPF 50. No more sunburns for me. I offered it to my sister in law but she said she'd be fine.
So we went down to the beach. It was a beautiful day. The tide was out and the waves were low so the kids wouldn't get swamped. It took a little bit to get the kids cool with the idea of playing in the water, but it was worth it to watch Connor run into thigh deep (on him) water to get to his daddy, or watch my niece crawl across wet sand with the water coming up around her every few seconds. We buried my foot (James wouldn't let us bury him
) and Connor kept bringing me seashells.
We left around dark and drove home sandy and tired.
About half way home my sister in law said that her shoulders were itching. I couldn't help but smile. We got home and she was super red. So I put some aloe with lidocane on it and tried my best not to snicker. It was tan this morning but she still said it hurt.
And I am extremely impressed with my nail polish. I spent the entire time in the water and I only needed to repaint one nail! Not bad for $1.99 nail polish with no top coat on it.
I told myself I was going to be lazy today, but instead I cleaned my entire house and caught up on my filing. (I hadn't filed any statements since August of last year.) And of course we kept my niece. She is such a sweetheart. All smiles and giggles, unless you pull her away from the dishwasher. So I felt very productive. Lazy day is tomorrow.
And my nose hoop came in today! I'm so excited! 3 more weeks and I can wear it!
I want to thank Remi for all of the kisses and comments! I can't stop smiling.

And thank you to all of these wonderful people who continually write to me even though I am a supremely boring person! I would list you all, but I would really hate to forget someone.
Well I'm going to try and get some sleep now. G'night, everyone.
