Closed every Sunday and Monday.
Tuesdays and Thursdays we are open 12pm - 7pm.
Wednesdays and Fridays we are open 12pm - 5pm.
Saturdays we are open 10am - 4pm.
We show up at 8am to clean every day (but the schedule shows 7am for next week on Saturdays, hmm).
What are your hours?
How many animals do you normally have/how many cages?
We generally have around 100 cats all the time.
I think during spring time it goes up because you can put a mom cat and a litter of 6 or so in one cage, but normally it's about 100.
I'm not sure about the dogs, but I know it's less.
You guys are open every day of the week?
We should be like that so we could get more animals homes, but I think the office people would be terribly upset if they didn't get their two days a week off.
Wow, your building sounds way larger than ours. I want to come visit it.
Our main cat room used to hold 40 cages, but this week they pushed two four-plexes into our Feline Holding room, so now we only have 32 cages in our main adoption room.
Our Feline Holding now holds 6 four-plexes (24 cages).
Our Feline Recovery holds 12 cages (used to be a sick room, now we use it to put cats with applications in, so the public won't see them and can't want them).
Our Feline Isolation room holds 12 cages also, for sick cats.
We also have a Safe Haven, which is one four-plex pushed near the offices.
We are the only Humane Society in the town that I am in. Maybe we are tiny compared to Lancaster though?
About your work schedule, wow. We are always understaffed and no one gives a care.
We are lucky to have every other weekend off work (but now we have a new boss and she keeps messing up the schedule. They actually have me working THIS and NEXT weekend... it's not really her fault, because she is in charge of a lot).
