Coming from Cape Cod, MA and now living in Sarasota, FL, I've traded in nor'easters for hurricanes. I've always been fascinated by wind, clouds, ocean waves and dramatically moving weather systems. So when this recent storm threatened Florida I wanted see it all. I was excited. The damage can be life altering and dangerous but I was still curious and anticipating.
In the end we got not even a drop of rain. But I found this satellite footage of the storm passing over the east coast. I could put this on loop and stare dumbly at it for an hour.
