Still hating Brooklyn!
I've been here now for 6 months and have gotten significantly more depressed. I gave it a chance for all you Brooklyn kids who said they loved it immensely. Nothing goes right out here, no one stays open after 7p, absolutely NO ONE delivers food (if they do, they either don't speak enough english to take your order or they get it wrong). The thugs who listen to loud blaring music and have dance parties in the street still haven't found a new street to party on...
all that stuff (and more) aside, yesterday may have been my last straw. I witnessed a kid busting in a car window with a crowbar right outside my door and then attempt to steal a car.
The police showed up shortly and then asked me to come down to the precinct to point out the guilty party. i couldn't identify the kid (considering how many people wear red hoodies over their faces and are hispanic out here...) but still...
I miss Manhattan.
who knew i would have moved so far from detroit to basically end up back in it.

hot mess is my new favorite phrase. our school had hot mess day on friday, which i then happily rolled over onto saturday as well. i swear i'm cooler when i'm not hungover, sleepy, and depressed from school. it was nice to meet you though. i'm sure i'll be seeing you around.
