Well I got to the
Killeen Animal Control on 7:45 Tuesdays morning to wait to adopt the dog pictured above!!

I was advised since there was quite a bit of an intrest in Dib (thats what I nicknamed him) that I should get there kinda early!! The Killeen Animal Control works there adoption policy this way they open at 8am in the morning Monday through Sunday so people can claim lost or stay animals, and then at noon the adoption begin and its a frist come frist serve basis!! Thats why I was there so early, so I could have frist Dibs (get it now!! lol

) Anyways two other parties came in that were intrested in Dib I kinda felt bad about one cause it was a little girl with her mom and B/F and the little girl cried when they told her I was getting the puppy!!

But I made it till noon I took my trusty knitting along with me to help the time by!! Signed all the paperwork and was on my way out the door and walking in was a girl and guy. They stopped me and ask me if I just adopted that puppy? Proudly I said yes, the girl kinda got choked up and said that was her puppy and she was coming to claim him!!

I was like Im sorry he's going to a good home and is going to be spoiled and well loved!! They petted him for a bit told me that his name was Peanut (which in my opinion is a horrible name for that puppy!!!

)
This is Dib on the drive home!!

What a little angel!! Sleeping in my arms, he was so good on the car ride home!!
When we got him home, we were in yard playing and I got a call from Animal Control!! They girl and that guy wanted to talk to me about trading a female pit puppy for the puppy that I had just adpoted!!

And they were calling to see if I wanted to take their number because I was under no obligation to talk to them and Dib was legally mine whenthe papers were signed!! I really didnt want to talk to them about trading my Dib, but I did say they could have my number and call me!! As soon as I hung up they call, well the girl's mother Mrs Richardson, she explained that that was her daughter and her b/f and that they had bottle fed that pup and were attatched to him and wanted to know if I would be willing to trade him for a girl pup same age and just as sweet!! I kinda got sucker in and agreed, but was kinda dreding trading!!
But it was for the best cause look at my baby!!
She looks like shes just two months, where Dib looked like her was 3 just about 4!! She dosent even have all of her teeth yet and is still really pinkish!! But she a little cutie!! And so well behaved!! She knows how to sit and to lay!! We are working on stay and to come!! Shes practically house trained, I take that back she is house trained!! Shes not had an accident at all and she will whine and walk towards the door when she has to go out!! We named her Mali, cause it means lucky, smart and funny!! Chris picked it out and we both think it suits her very well!! Its also pronounced like Bailey only with an M!!

She even has toenails to match her mommy!!

She refuses to sleep in her crate, and wimpers like you beat her if you open the door to even suggest she get inside!! We've no had a problem with her, thank god!! so we just let her do what she wants!! And she wants to sleep with us, I was against it big time but caved in and let her up there with us!! She really good she usually sleeps at the foot of the bed right on our feet and legs!! But I went to bed after Chris and look who stole my spot!! LOL

your new little cutey is even more adorable then the other dog! how fun!!
oh ya.. by the time you mail the blanket jameson will be able to call you and thank you himself!!! hahaha j/k
