I was going to comment wittily on this past weekend's White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, but it has been a few days and most everyone who cares has probably already heard about Bush standing shoulder to shoulder with a shameless impersonator and Stephen Colbert trashing the president to his smiling face. I would never have seen it (because I never plug in the tv except to watch hail storms approach) had we not been double checking for mistakes by the cable guy who was working on an apartment downstairs. Let me just say it was a few moments of shock followed by uproarious disbelieving laughter. Anyway, hope you got to see it.

I don't really have anything exciting to report or share. So I'll take my inspiration from this old intimate show pic of Ani DiFranco rocking it. What are everyone's plans for summer shows?



Rusted Root is coming to The Vogue, but I think I've seen the end of that era - when H & I went to their last show, we kind of had to force the magic, and that's when you know it's best to let them go. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will be here with Trey Anastasio at our giant open-air amphitheatre. No one would see Tom with me last summer, so I just might have to twist some arms this year... Yeah, I'm a dork.
