so frustrated right now. i'm supposed to be leaving tomorrow to go to my mother's house in wales. i ordered my tickets, everything was fine. but for some reason they were addressed to my mother and not to me. this has happened before so i should have been expecting it and should have warned my housemates (as the tickets had to be signed for). i, however, neglected to do that. i was awakened yesterday morning by the postman knocking at the door. i lept out of bed, threw some clothes on...and couldn't open the door. it seems that the night before i had managed to blockade myself in my room with suitcases and didn't notice until the next morning. my room is excesively small so rearranging everything so that i could actually open the door took a bit of time. by which point one of my housemates had gone to talk to the postman and told him that the person the letter was addressed to didn't live at this address...so i spent my entire morning on the phone trying to see when and if i could get them back. the people at the royal mail helpline were very friendly, but there wasn't much they could do. they gave me the number to my nearest redelivery office and i've spent the last two days calling them. but every time it goes straight to answer phone message. this makes me think that something is dreadfully wrong with their phone because there is no mention of it being the redilivery office. and it seems to be a cell phone as it's just the generic O2 message. i called the royal mail people twice about it and both people gave me the same number, one even tried to connect me directly. so i don't know what to do. i've filled out one of those on line forms to have it redelivered, but it won't come until sometime before 1 on thursday (i'm supposed to be at the station around 10...) and that's if they'll even redeliver it. it's not like there wasn't anyone there to sign for it, it was actively rejected.i don't know what they do when that happens. i suppose i could also go to the office, but i'm pretty sure they wouldn't let me take it because it isn't addressed to me...it's all a bit of a problem really

Royal Mail are notoriously crap. If it hadn't been rejected it would've been left at your local sorting office and you could've just gone there first thing in the morning and claim it with some proof of address. I guess instead it would've gone back to the sender. Which doesn't help.
It may be easier to ring the train people to explain what happened and get them to notify the station and get your ticket re-issued...?
Good luck, I hope it works out for you *fingers xssed*
Anyway as I said hope you're on your way and that you could fix it....It is not a bad idea to show up in person to the office....they can find things most of the times.......good luck!
I was thinkin I wouldn't be able to go to spain in the end...but got some cash on my way....yay! see you when you're back!
