Oh my goodness! i've been so busy the past few days! i've got so much work to do before the end of april and then there was the uni orchestra concert last night (seriously, my reeds are driving me crazy. i swear it's a conspiracy to drive me to suicide ) and then stupid housing stuff! ugh. right, here comes a little rant-
so, my three housemates are all third years and are graduating this year. one of them is thinking of staying on and doing her masters, but she was intending on moving back on campus anyway. i found three people to move in here and take there places and everything was great, so we all trooped down to the estate agent's yesterday and the three were happily reading forms and filling out contact sheets when suddenly the agent we were talking to snatches up her phone and has a quick and worrying conversation with her boss at the end of which she tells us that the landlord has raised rent from 1500 to 1600. needless to say, we were not impressed. it's a _really_ convenient location and it's not a bad house, but none of us want to pay 400 a month! so we've decided to look for somewhere else i have to say i'm totally sick of moving around all the time. *le sigh* oh well, maybe this time around i'll get a room that's not ridiculously small
another reason this week hasn't been great was that one of our dogs died i called up my mother on sunday to say happy mother's day and before i even got to say anything she told me she had some really sad news, which of course started my mind racing on what it could be, but i didn't really expect her to say that Nino had died! he was only about 9. they think it was cancer. apparently it all happened quite fast. they took him to the vet a month ago because he was throwing up and had some tests done but they came up fine so they just gave him some antibiotics and he seemed to get better, but then my mother found a lump in his side and took him back to the vet and 4 days later he had died. so that was really upsetting. i helped deliver that litter (my mother breeds labs)...oh dear. i've made myself sad again. i'm going to miss tripping over him in the kitchen and pulling at my socks next time i'm at my mom's.
and now i am in great need of tea. camomile i think. and some tissues.
