worked at the Brooklyn Book Festival yesterday
The weather was less than perfect, but a lot of people still showed up. I talked to a bunch of cool people, bought some books, spotted Sarah Silverman, and went to see/ hear Venus Williams speak about her new book.
Apparently it gets bigger each year. Hopefully I'll get to find out next year.
I picked up
Nine Stories by J.D. Salinger
The Wraith by Goodloe Byron
Bluebirds Used to Croon in the Choir by Joe Meno (who wrote one of my favourite books, "Hairstyles of the Damned")
Some handmade poems by a few different Canadian poets (compiled by Toronto Poetry Vendors)
