On July 4, 239 years ago, the United States decflared that we were independent, and no longer a part of the British Empire. We fought two wars to secure it. In between these wars, in 1789, the Constitution was ratified. It began with three simple words.
We, the People....
Pity they no longer matter.
President Obama, an amazingly dim man and a totalitarian, considers freedom anathema, and rules through executive order. The Supreme Court, recently had a successful, final putsch, in order to make sure that the first three words of the Constitution were meaningless. The Legislature, well meaning but afraid, does nothing in the face of the destruction of the Republic. Welcome, Caesar Octavian! Enjoy your freedom as it fades away.
For the moment, however, you can still Rock in America.
Little sister by the record machine, a tiny dancer such a sweet sixteen
She's coming she's going to party tonight, she's going tos hake and make it last all night
Little brother's got a driving machine, a fast driver such a clean machine
They're going out, they're going to put out the lights, they're going to rock it, rock it
You can still rock in America, all right
You can still rock in America, all night
Little sister makes a move for the door, the door squeaks she's on the second floor
Her daddy wakes "Is everything okay?" Not a sound as she makes her getaway
Little brother's got it ready to roll, tires burning as they head to the show
Light it up and turn the music up loud
And rock it, rock it.
