This will be my first post when I'm drunk.
I don't think I've actually been drunk since joining SG. What a shame. Drunkenness is fun. I'm gutted I've not been more drunk more often!
I did another gig on Monday night which I may or may not have mentioned here. It was alright. I was on first to a cold audience who seemed intent on just staring at me and not laughing much. Though when I tried some brand new improvised material I got my biggest laughs of the night. Looks like my shit driving/Total Recall bit stays!
Since being back on the comedy circuit, I've seen about a million faces that I've not seen since before I got married - every single one of them has given me the impression that they're pleased to see me. It makes me feel so happy - I feel somewhat established as a comedian when people so far above me on the ladder are not only saying 'hello' but seem pleased to see me WONDERFUL!
I felt that way with a comic on Monday who I'd not seen for ages. It seemed as if we were actually closer on Monday night than we'd ever been. It was nice because it made me feel wanted. Acceptance! The sole thing I look for when doing comedy! Why else would I bare all for no money?!
There was another act on the same bill as me on Monday that I met up with tonight - hence the drunkenness. We shared two bottles of wine and had a great laugh and bitch at the expense of anyone and everyone on the Manchester comedy circuit. She happens to be a foxy lady. I'll be seeing her again tomorrow and we'll be off to Manchester together to watch comedy - YAY!
I'm drunk and have had the company of a foxy lady tonight. I couldn't be happier right now!

tripping around Hulme and Moss Side. gulp. I always cover my chilli with cheese and sour cream, and i'll have a bottle of cherry lambrini to dowse any fire-mouth moments.
