It has been a while and because of that I have some of BIG news. Well after Christmas on the 28th my girlfriend met up with me in Chicago to come spend the new year here in New York with me and it was grand.
On friday December 30 I planned a very special day starting with breakfast in bed, which is something I am dead set against. I can not stand crumbs, food in bed but this was a special day. Then we got ready to leave the apartment I was taking her shopping and then to our favorite museum where I had something very special planned.
Well when we got there it was free friday and the line was around the block and she did not want to wait. But I was very keen on staying as I had a ring in my pocket and I had finally worked up the nerve to ask her to marry me but I was so nervous I did not have a backup plan. so we left. Thinking on my feet I pulled us off the train at Grand Central Station where I proposed on one knee under the cosmos. Which is, for those of you who don't know, an impressive mural on the ceiling in the main terminal at grand central. it is huge and dark blue with gold stars forming constellations. She was so happy she started crying and said yes so fast I was unsure of her answer. Next we went to eat some really expensive and great sushi to celebrate.
I am now engaged to be married to my beautiful Jessica. I can not wait. I am really excited about this, it will change my life forver but I like that, becaue I love her and this is what I want. A life with her.
