I don't watch most popular movies. In fact, I am very, very not up on pop culture at all. So, after seeing Little Miss Sunshine and really loving Steve Carell, I decided to download The 40 Year Old Virgin.
So...I'm 34 minutes into the extended version currently, but I've skipped and watched the last 5 minutes also. I had thought about watching it with a friend. But no. No, no, no. How terribly awkward I feel just while watching it in my room, alone! I've had to close the window, play fullscreen games overtop the window, and fast forward so far. Evidently I don't do well with this type of humor, though the movie doesn't offend me and is often quite amusing. It's just so awkward. I feel embarrassed for him. Goodness.
Anyhow. Another example of how absolutly not cool I am. I feel so seperated from modern culture at the moment. So, yes, I'm going to go listen to Italian prog from the 70s, and maybe read some Bukowski. And ignore this strand in modern culture that makes me feel like I should avert my eyes and wince.
