The solstice is marking the end of another cycle, and this is always a beautiful time of introspection and recollection, but also of re-uniting ! It is the celebration of light returning full on ! Life coming back on this beautiful planet, after a constructive death that will bring up good change in every aspects of our life.
The evolution of consciousness truly is a magnificent and exciting experience !
On a more material perspective, I don't care if the consumer society is trying to profit from our joy and eagerness to give. Isn't it that way for everything where profit is possible ? I say: let them swim in their illusion and don't let it bring you down! It's not true that I won't share love and joy with family and friends just because of this ! You don't *have* to buy anything in the name of love, now do you ?

What heartwarming pictures, and thankyou for your blog comments, the new year certainly marks a new beginning for me as its my first year free of formal education, so the world is now my teacher, and this is both scary and also quite freeing, its going to be an amazing year, I can just feel it.
