Just before I broke up for last week, we had a notice for redundancies from work. Bit of a downer but not altogether unexpected. So last week the directors have been organising a selection criteria, ready for tomorrow. I'm not indespensible, so we'll see what happens. That said, if I do get the chop, I've got a degree in electronics, 10 years experience working with the rail industry, no major outgoings, and three months notice. Anyway glad I had the week off...And what did I do with a week off work? I dug and filled a path at my allotment, dismantled and collected a greenhouse, earthed up my potatoes, and got working mans tan - arms face and neck heavily tanned body milk bottle white. All the fresh air and sun has spoiled me, going back into a factory will be a kind of purgatory - but hey, might not be for long

No new word on job, but money flow is improving.

sounds like a typically english way to spend a week off!
