My six year old got a letter from a girl in his class yesterday. Two pages. First page is partially crossed out but still readable, a big heart with a crying face drawn on, it says
"I am sad
I think of you
when I think of you
I think of you
like a Man
when I think of you"

Second page is happy heart faces touching, it says
"To Anthony From S---
Do you like me
I like you
I think of you
like a Man
I think of you is
My Man"

Funny thing is, her name is the same as my girlfriend when I was in first grade. I took her to a movie theater (she bought the popcorn) and we kissed during the movie. I may have even felt her chest...I think about her sometimes, try to imagine what her life might be like and where she might be now, I hope she is happy. I'm sure she is.
