I would have never imagined that bone is an excellent conductor of sound.
To make a long boring short...lost a tooth needed a replacement. Choose the route of dental implants, which is an interesting process and is as follows
1. Bad Tooth extraction
2. Bone Graft to replace lost bone, healing time 4-6 months.
3. Placement of the implant, a titanium screw inserted into the jawbone. During the healing process the bone fuses to the metal (process is called Osseo integration) so the implant really becomes permanent part of your jaw. Healing time 4-6 months.
4. Placement of the abutment and crown. The insert has a female thread to receive the abutment so really the implant is a screw in a screw.
