BIG THANKS to all those who sent me warm birthday greetings last week!
my day was a good one. the eve of was ok. i layered my aalcohol incorrectly and as a result i threw up. the red wine on the bottom made it look bloody and very gross.
my friend tia made a batch of cupcakes for me that night that i was too drunk to take home. i only ate two. tia, you fucking rock!!
the weather was nice on the 29th, and i took advantage of it for a three hour bike ride across the city. i stopped for lunch at my favorite mexican place, conejito's. the food was great as usual, and it was back across town. i went out with "kiki" later that night to majaraja for some spicy lamb vindaloo, then drinks at jamo's on the east side. i don't get out to the east side much, so it feels like a special occasion when i do. then we headed back across the bay to our beloved cactus where i was greeted warmly by patrons and birthday shots. i crawled into bed as a warm and happy drunk. drunk on what life has to offer.
the rest of the week was crap. well, it was ok. i don't remember much of it because i've been losing the sleep war. working too much, wasting too much time waiting for a transfer at the motherfucking bus stop, not eating enough salmon.
but here's something: i'll be in baltimore from the 6th-10th, and then on to new york city for the 11th-13th. you new york kids, eh? whaddya say we kick it old school? let me know, ok?

I puked up red wine recently and was initially convinced that it was blood. I thought, "oh great, I've finally broken myself." Then I remembered that I had been drinking wine.
