Well the day was very busy. just had a wonderful bath though and feeling mellow.
We were filming again today, probably one of the most pivotal scenes in the film, however it was fraught with difficulties, we finally found a brilliant location but it took ages to set things up and then half way through filming we ran out of tape (we now have over 70 minutes of footage for what will ultimately be a 10 minute film and were only half way through) Then when we got some more tape we got chucked out of the hall we were filming in. Grrrrrrr. so now we have to shoot again later.
The most terrible thing about shooting was that i had to act in this bit. I am the worst actor known to man. Not only that but I had to do comedy. it took about 20 takes. every time i would walk in, bugger up a line, stand in the wrong place, knock something over, or just burst out laughing. oh dear.
Im going to a conference tomorrow on bilingualism. it should prove as boring as i fear. this means i will miss a load of filming which is not terrible, i could do without the stress, but i tend to think of myself as the artistic conscience of the group and i worry (probably needlessly, and certainly egocentrically) that without me everything will dissolve into pedestrian banality.
Ive added a couple of pictures to my site:The Panic Function
But more excitingly Ive finally got up and running my virtual sewing kit!:"Go Home"
Its got some poetry on and is what it says, a completely pointless sewing kit. I havent had a chance to test it over a slow connection or on a crappy computer so it may be dead laggy. sorry if so.
Ive been struggling to get a better version of my panic function site up, one in flash that i can update more easily because everything will be stored in an xml file. but ive been having lots of problems with it. it works fine locally on my machine but as soon as I upload it it starts to misbehave and only load in some of the jpegs. i have no idea what im doing wrong. grrrrr. web frustrations.
