Here is the problem with the world today.
Society is trying to redefine the Man, and Redefine the Woman.
Keep in mind my post is not about what is right and wrong, but on the direction of where things are going.
The Feminizing of Man: Metro-sexuals, it is todays big fad, sure get a guy to wear some fragrances, hair products, designer clothes, and use lotion, manicures, pedicures, etc. Sure that is all great. I mean.. what girl doesn't want a guy who is in touch with his feminine side.
Regardless if you think this is right or wrong. This trend IS giving men the idea that they have to abandon apart of their manhood to impress woman. This goes against the nature of man, in more ways than one. Not only does it give them a less dominate standing it also takes away their strongest attributes. Look at men throughout the HISTORY of the WORLD up until 50 years ago. They were the WORKERS the ones that brought home the bread, the strong leaders in the household. 1000s of years of this.. and then NOW in the past several decades that has been stripped away.
Women also had their responsibilities not bad ones either. Men had to depend on women as well. The work at home, the children, the food, the gardening, the home keeping that kept them both healthy is not also being stripped away. You have magazines telling women how to "Tame Men", "Be Independent" "Look unnaturally beautiful" All the things to strive for that sets them alone. People in this world love knowing their role. whether they know it or not or like it or not. Everyone feels they must have a roll and a reason to live. Those rolls in life that were once black and white are NOW a huge mess of gray. This has helped to cause tons of confusion, insecurities, and misdirection. A lot of people women and men included are doing things in society against what made a strong foundation years ago.
Men lost their sense of leadership and lost grasp on the ideas of being the MAN of the relationship. Women lost their support roll, their motherly nature is being stripped from them as they try more and more to make themselves something they are not.
The respect each sex has for each other is harmed by this. Women relying on Men much less now reduces their need for them, in turn causing them to disrespect them more, while this also cause issues when a woman gets pregnant, and has a child, she realizes then the VERY important need for a strong household. The "need" for the man returns; or she puts way too much stress on herself. while having a very unhealthy relationship with their child due to lack of time and money to support it the best she can. Mothers now are mostly single, or going to work everyday while the kid is in daycare being raised by another person.
80% of marriages get divorces in the first 5 years. There are more single mothers now then EVER. You can't argue with the mess our society is in . I could list a TON of messed up statistics but you get the idea.
The key to making things work is mutual respect, knowing your rolls, understanding how close a relationship and family NEED to be in order to succeed.
