And this is just fucking amazing and really gives you an idea of how powerful nuclear weapons are. this blast was only in the low kilotons range, and the weapons we have had since the 50s and the development of the hydrogen bomb, or fusion bomb, are in the megaton range... the fireball in a 1 megaton weapon would swallow up all of Manhattan, and set fire to all of the boroughs instantaneously. Nuclear weapons actually burn hotter than the surface of the sun for a split second.
