I said I need to read Geek Love. Hubby said does it tell you how to love your geek. He's a geek you see. I need to learn to love him better. We are having some struggles as of late. The hubby has decided to quit the permanent government job and go back to school. I am struggling with the uncertainty of the future. ahhhh sigh boo hoo. The VA will pay for vocational rehab. He will make just about the same amount of money and all classes and supplies will be paid for. So why I am freaking? NO idea. Well actually I am worried about losing out health insurance. We don't even use it. I'm still scared though. Plus there are so many people without work. sigh. I need to let go and trust. Time to trust and breathe.
We have been having a great weekend however. Our anniversary is on the 23rd. We have been married 3 years. So we are just really trying to enjoy our time together and do some fun and new things. Spice is the key to life right? So we are spicing it up a bit.
Last night we went to Spirit Mountain Casino. We went to their amazing buffet and I had prime rib and dungeoness crab legs. Then we went and played some slots for a bit and actually won enough to almost cover all the money we spent there. It was fun. I love casinos. It is totally not what the hubby is into but we had a great time together.
This morning we had breakfast at Farm to Fork. It was so good. I had a smoked trout scramble and really great coffee. Nice atmosphere and great service.
What will the rest of the weekend bring. Who knows?
Oh and I am planning 2 more triathlons.
April the Beaver Freezer in Corvallis Oregon. It will get me really ready for the next one.
May in beautiful San Diego California for the Encainitas Sprint Triathlon. The swim is actually in the Pacific Ocean. I am terrified of the Ocean. Time to face fears.
The goal is also to be 30 lbs lighter by then. This weight I have gained with my work has got to GO!
Read this blog "Back Into the Water" and watch the video about some San Diego triathlon people. This is my fear. I am terrified of being eaten by a shark. I used to love the Ocean. I grew up in So. Cal. I swam in it a lot. Fear has plagued me as an adult. I am going to get over it.
I am really excited about this new found passion. I am amazed that life constantly offers more time to get to know ones self. I am loving life right now.
