There is something not so right about being up 2 days with my work and coming home to kids that have been treating the grandmother like shit. I am so not an abusive parent but someone got there mouth smacked last night. I have to say that I was devastated after the action. I cried so much and left the house crying. I didn't know where to go so I drove to the track at GFU (GEE F YOU) and just sat there and cried for a bit. It sucks being a parent sometimes. I am so not good and being the disciplinarian (spelling?). As I sat at the track I thought about how nice it would have been to have run running shoes. I didn't though. I was in stretchy pants, a fitted-T, no bra and no shoes. Figures when I have the mood to drive me to run and run I don't have the apparel. Next time I have a fit I am going to suit up and go.
So the triathlon training got set back last week. I was so sick!!!! I still haven't gotten my voice back completely. SUCK!!!! I did however swin a few days. My lungs are in bad shape though and I am weaker than I am comfortable with. I'm off to run and swim in the morning. I have to get back on the horse and go. It is so easy to stop.
I made some No cook protein bars tonight. They are setting up in the fridge. Whey protein, honey, milk, oats and peanut butter. I hope they turn out good. I think they will be my new staple. Any protein bar recipes that you all have made and think are good would be nice. Please share. xo
I also, to mention, had a lovely birth yesterday. It was so very sweet. A baby girl, almost 8 lbs.
So that's all for now. That's something though, I guess.
I have to go make dinner. The kids are trying to talk me into popcorn for dinner. This is why kids aren't in charge of the universe.
