Totally not the SG thing to talk about
Thought....
Religion is tough;Spirituality is easy.
While on this interesting journey called life I have found myself very interested in Christianity. This may come from the big move I have had into God's country and the massive exposure that I am having with the Christian faith. My hardest leason comes over and over again and it is why it there so much intense judegement within the Christian faith. It is my understanding that Jesus came with a message of peace and simplicity as did Buddha as is the message of many other faiths. So why is it there is so much incredible judgement? I believe that there are many ways to God/Spirit/the Creator/etc... hence so many paths.
Recently I sat in a Christian service at the fair. The minister kept going off on how we can't coexist. That we will all come to a crossroads of disagreement and that the only right way is through Christ. The cross is where heaven and hell meet. Jesus died for our sins. Christianity is the only religion that addresses the fact that we are sinners and on and on... ummmmmm... OK?? This is why I can only find spirituality and not religion. I'm so not into this theory of only one way to God. I believe... I believe in One God... the creator of heaven and earth. What a weird concept this one way business!! I believe that the earth is older than I will ever know. Or is it 6000 years? I don't believe that dinosaurs bones were planted to test my faith. How weird is that???
