My niece is turning 7 next month. Anyone have any ideas of what to get a 7 year old girl? I'm thinking the little text messaging toys, they're not phones, just made for texting. Like we had radios when we were kids. Or I'm going to take her to Toys R Us and let her pick something.

Or are there way cooler things out there?

Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to want to move to Ireland or Australia, what would they need?

I know, two different paths, but help me out here. I could use some advice.

A permanent move? That's very hard to do...the traditional methods I'm aware of are:

- Marry someone who is already a citizen
- Get a job with a multinational company, transfer to the office in the "target" country and work x number of years until you become a "naturalized" citizen (the method I used)
- Have some job skill the target country really needs (for example, nurse or doctor) and apply for a work visa on that basis

You may want to joing the Travel & Relocation group for more info....

1) Join the Peace Corp. http://www.peacecorps.gov/
2) Hope that country has mail order brides and register.
3) Or better yet, do what the guy said above. Find random Irish or Aussie (Bono or Hugh Jackman?) and marry them. I think I would pick Dolores O'Riordan & Cate Blanchett.
4) Take flight from US to New Zealand. Rent boat and cross ocean to Australia. Climb on shore and claim "Give us, us free!" (If you can name the movie that quote came from I will be in awe of your soon to be aussie pandaness)

Cheers!

You can make tons of money doing shows for one or two people, but I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

So I've been in training for management with a new company for almost two months now. We had our final yesterday, all 521 questions of it, and I passed with a 95%.

I'm going to be a drunk panda in t minus 4 hours and counting.

So I found out some rather disturbing facts about fish, specifically cod and pacific salmon. If you want to be grossed out, let me know.

59 wpm, with two mistakes according to this website.

65 wpm, with one mistake according to this website.

And 38 wpm with 18 mistakes according to this one.

That's an average of 54 wpm with 7 mistakes. That last one did me in. I was over it, I guess. All around not too terribly impressive, I suppose. Why do you ask?

To be fair, most of it was copy/pasted.

And I have too much free time.
