just a quick update to let everyone know I'm still alive.
smoking again and loving it.
Canada day as predicted was filled with stupid drama...oh well, its to be expected from that crew. I wonder if they'll ever grow outta it? as a good friend once said..."you cant change other people's actions...only your reactions"...Let the children play, I say. and if they chase a ball onto the road and get hit by a car...they'll learn from it if they're smart enough.
still jobless..luckily some nicely timed GST cheques have been comming in and I didnt really spend too much cash on canada day weekend. I was treated really well by my friends. one of my fave girlfriends from montreal even spotted me some cash because she just got a new job and would be getting a bonus. I've finally saved up enough to pay rent to my parents for last month..which may still sound behind but at least I'll have it outta the way by the end of the week and will be able to breathe a bit.
aside from the drama on Canada day I spent probably the closest most awesome time with some of my girlfriends. it made me realize what Canada day was all about...it wasnt about what party you got guestlisted for, what hottie you planned on banging after the fireworks went off, or how drunk and stupid you could get using being patriotic as an excuse...sharing company, good laughs until your cheeks hurt and your abs were sore, a few tears and shoulders to lean on regardless of not having showered in two days was what it was all about. And ditching the "friends" who showed you any less of that good time.
