today was possibly the toughest morning ever.
I slaved last night till 4am on this painting that I had been working on since DECEMBER for a client. I just had to put the finishing touches on it so I could deliver it today to him and pick up some phat cash. so at 4am I leaved the canvas on the wall in my living room where I had been working on it to let it dry and put my paints back on the shelf and retired to bed. happy that at last the painting was done and I could relax....
thing is.....I was so tired this morning that my 4 year-old decided to get up without waking me and he went into the living room got into my paints (which were PUT AWAY) and went to town on my $400-3-month work of art. I woke up to find that he had squeezed out all the tubes of my new acrylic paints set onto the floor and palette and mixed a muddy mix of all the coulours in blobs on my finished piece..
I screamed.
then I cried.
then I called my mom to come pick him up before I did somehting I'd regret.
not proud of that last sentance but I have NEVER, EVER been so angry at a child. not only did I miss out on the cash to be earned from the painting but now I had to replace my tubes of paint.
anyway most of the damage has been fixed, there was paint everywhere...on the floor, the walls, in the hallway.
anyway gettin ready now to head out.....did some Value Village shopping to cure my woes and I now have some spectatular accessories for tonight festivities
pictures soon to come
