Today I helped the ESO make hemp bracelets as a fundraiser so we can buy a green tag for BU (which means buying green energy to help make up for our polution). It was really cool and chill. I'm starting to pay more and more attention to that tiny thought that's been jiggling around in the back of my head, and that is that maybe I can stay in Boston and maintain my sanity after all. I need to talk all of this over with my mom, is what I think, which is good, because we just chatted online (I love how tech-savvy my parents are) and she said she'd call me in five minutes, which is right about...........okay, soon, since that timing didn't go as well as I'd hoped. But yeah. She always makes thing make sense.
I finished the mix I was making for the secret love of my life today (it's secret cuz he doesn't know that he's my love). I'm excited to give it to him when I see him. The playlist is this:
- "Jack Gets Up" - Leo Kottke
- "Somersault" (Danger Mouse Remix feat. MF Doom) - Zero 7
- "Since I've Been Loving You" - Led Zeppelin
- "Dream About Flying" - Alexi Murdoch
- "Heartbeats" - Jose Gonzales
- "Dream" - Gilfema
- "V 7 1/2" - Ravi Shankar
- "Mojo Pin" - Jeff Buckley
- "Serpentine" - Ani DiFranco
- "Last Goodbye" - Jeff Buckley
- "Enormous Penis" - Da Vinci's Notebook
I'm pretty proud of it; I think I did a pretty good job with the transitions, and it's all stuff that I absolutely love (hence why I couldn't pick just one Jeff Buckley song). We've also talked about a lot of it in our numerous musically inclined conversations that fill me with happy. Damn I wish he lived in Boston. *sigh*
(There was a long break right there just before I typed up the playlist, in which I talked to my mom. She did, in fact, make everything make sense. I will never be able to function without her.)
So tomorrow my music theory teacher is back from Italy, which means time to be extra cute for class! (Heh.) But it is now very late, so I will also be extra-tired. Oh well. I guess that means I should sleep now. Well, g'night kids! Remember......................um...I forgot what you're supposed to remember. WHATEVER!
Also, your mix tape only reminds me of High Fidelity. Such a good movie.
