Fuck you, computer, for deleting everything I just typed because I tried to insert an accented character.
Anyway, as I was just saying, jury duty was ridiculous, because no one ended up even making it to a courtroom. All the cases for the day settled out of court. So we sat there for about 4 1/2 hours and left. I spent the time productively, studying for my test tomorrow, knitting, and napping.
On the way back I stopped by the Orpheum to get tickets to the Scissor Sisters, Decemberists, and Ani DiFranco concerts without getting ass-raped by excessive Ticketmaster fees. What a bunch of greedy dicks the heads of that company must be. Anyway, I'm $170 poorer, but I'm sure the concerts will be worth it.
I also attended my first meeting of the student environmental group here, which was highly awesome. I love hippies! (Not dirty hippies though. They're a different thing, and very annoying.) Anyway, yeah, I plan to be very active with them, especially since they seem to be the coolest kids around.
I'm also working on my transfer applications. I'm applying to four schools in a desperate bid to escape the unpleasantness that is BU: Harvard (hah, a long shot), UChicago, UPenn, and Bard. I think that I can get into one of those four, so woo hoo, leaving! I'd love to live in Cambridge, but I doubt Harvard will happen. That'd be so unbelievable awesome though. Man.
In other news, I need to own more music by (hed)P.E. because their song "Bartender" will not get out of my head. Ever.
