BEST SURPRISE EVER: Jos Gonzlez opened for Zero 7! I had no idea, and I walked in and looked at the merch table, and they were selling his t-shirts, and I was like "wait is he here???" and then I realized he was playing at that very moment! WOAH! And then he played with them, and then I died of joy right there on...

So I woke up this morning and my arches were sore from my yoga class. I don't know that I've ever been sore there before. It was cool. I'll certainly be sore all over tomorrow, since I ran about a million errands. I was so efficient today; I got a whole slew of things done, probably aided by the fact that my classes were over...

I was sitting in the balcony. Such a good movie.

I would just like to point out the worrying note of Playboy-esque material in 3 of the last 5 new photosets. I buy Playboy to see that, I subscribe to SuicideGirls to see Marie.
In other news, I am in love with a boy in Philadelphia. He doesn't know, and it doesn't really matter that he does, but it gives me a little bittersweet...

SG has long grown past the age where one needed tattoos and piercings to be Suicide Girl material and not "Playboy-esque". Being a Suicide Girl has a lot to with attitude, more so than just body mods.

You wrote Petrarch, and I for some reason thought Plutarch. Hence the confusion. I read good. Must have been that quality UMass education.

Today has been a Good Day. I got to sound interesting at my super-cute music theory teacher, I had lunch with my humanities professor, Christopher Ricks, and got to see Bob Dylan's childhood bathtub. I downloaded more Radiohead, Nick Drake, Sufjan Stevens, and Sigur Ros. I had a nice, relaxing Restorative Yoga class, and on my way back stopped in the Virgin Megastore for Jos...

So does Bobby D's childhood tub look interesting in any particular way?
So I missed the restorative yoga class I was going to go to today because neither of the record stores I went to had Jos Gonzlez's album (how was I supposed to know they were both second-hand stores? They're the closest ones I know of) and my bike pedal broke (though I was luckily a block away from a Landry's Bicycles, where they fixed it...

Good good. I was worried. (Internet) Friends don't let (internet) friends go vegan
I rather enjoy the gothy-gothin'. The Boston goth kids are delightful, but generally not snobby (unlike those in Providence, the uppity bastards). Also, the DJ is awesome; a dude named Chris Ewen. He was in an 80's synthpop band, and when not DJing at Toast, he's a member of the Future Bible Heroes with Stephin Merritt of the Magnetic Fields. He also plays Pet Shop Boys for me, which is awesome
Ooh... yeah, that's gonna be tough. The few people I know with money would probably at least like to come on to you a little bit. But hey, here's hoping!

I was a vegetarian for a little over a year. Then I got a craving for a steak, and that was the end of that. I really don't eat all that much meat, and hardly any red meat these days, but dead flesh is indeed tasty.
Bike riding and yoga classes make Paisley calm down. Through exhaustion.
That's all I got.

Damn, that's kind of spooky...
But I'm always happy to meet another archaeo type (and if you laugh at my horribly pun on archetype, then you're even more awesome).
What're you most interested in archaeologically, might I ask?

morwok:
My initial interest was in Neandertals, but since we don't get many of them in Mississippi, I've tended toward more sort of broad scale issues. The application of evolutionary theory to archaeology, settlement patterns, and lithics. My thesis will probably involve all three, well the first two at the very least. But I still hope to get some digging in somewhere in Europe some day....
Time for the obligatory Emo Blog Session (ugh, I thought I was done with these when I ditched my livejournal account.) I apologize in advance.
I know I've only been back at school for a couple of days, but I'm already disillusioned and depressed, just like last year, and a lot of it has to do with a certain large disappointment in the sex life...

That wicked sucks, but I'm sure you'll find someone; this city is full of people to meet and do.
Failing that, I tend to transfer that energy to dancing
And hey, at least it didn't end up raining today
How was the bike?

Yeah, I thought he did a great job with the character. I was very impressed.
And the new place is wicked sweet
I'm trying to get people over more. The previous tenants left a ton of booze! I mean, come on!
Ah, yes, the lock. I still need to get a U-lock; I've been using the little cable lock I had in Amherst still, though my friends say this is a Bad Idea.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the biking, though! The greater Boston area is super fun for biking. Even in downtown, though also terrifying.
My bike's in the shop, getting a tune up and some new parts. I miss it already.
And hey, at least there's some good. Quite a bit of good, even, since sleep did come eventually, and there was lovely biking weather to be had![smile](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/smile.0d0a8d99a741.gif)

Nothing can quite compare to tasty leftover ravioli and three glasses of cabernet at 3:00 on a lovely afternoon, shared with a groovy friend (with a fake ID.) I felt so chic.
In other news, my classes start tomorrow. Oh boy. I have the most insane schedule, too; I'll be running all over campus every day, from one end to the other. At least I...

Yes.
While I know Gershwin is not the first name that springs to mind when thinking about biting social commentary, I can't help but adore their song "The Back Bay Polka". I've lived there for going on a year, and the more time I spend here the less I enjoy the vaguely puritanical atmosphere I find. An example: I couldn't find a place to eat that...

We had our fake snakes on opening night
And there was a fair amount of yelling back at the screen, which is odd as the movie had *just* come out. But it was fun all the same!
Excellent. I definitely recommend it. I may be biased, living over here, but I think we've got it all on this side of the river. And I applaud the bike; I'd die if I didn't have mine. Life is better when you're not beholden to the MBTA. Perhaps we'll see each other zipping about the city
That is bizarre that you wouldn't be able to find a restaurant open that late. I would think Brown Sugar Cafe Fenway would be open, but I could be wrong. Or if it was open, it would be packed, as usual.
As a side note, I love your book selections.

So my roommate didn't know that nekkid pictures of boys are popular, too. Hah.
