I'm going away forever this Saturday, but before I do here's a new blog!
A Quick one because it's always good to update. My wrist hurts why? I'm not exactly sure, but it's very reminiscent of the Christmas 2005 scenario, so needless to say I cam home today and donned my special brace and now I look like I'm ready to go bowling... I hate bowling it's one of the three events in the white-trash-decathlon... Yeah I know a decathlon is ten events but the people I mock can't count anyway.
So Friday morning Shannon and I got up super early and went to go see the Watchmen. I was really blown away... Not like the first time I saw Razed in Black but still pretty blown away. And I have been preaching the gospel ever since. But this film kicks ass! The Biggest surprise was Jackie Earle Haley in the role of Rorschach! I haven't seen this guy since the original Bad News Bears movies, and now he's a total badass. Without giving too much away let me go over a few of the highlights.
Blue Junk all over all the time.
Rorschach's inner monologues
insane violence
deviant superhero sex
The bathroom scene with the midget
Got your interest? Good now go see it.
Last night Shannon and I went to the Backseat Film Festival. I finally met Doug Sakmann, the killer from Punk Rock Holocaust, I've been hearing about this guy for a few years from both John and Jenn, many times I could have met him, but I didn't always turn up.
So we went. To the new 941 Theatre. They had free booze! FREE BOOZE! Who does that? It was awesome. We got there in time to see a short film called "Attack of the Staph Spider" which was this utterly disgusting film about a porn starlet with a Staph infection that infects the whole set, and turns everyone into Puss-Zombies! Yeah I know it was pretty fucking awesome.
Then we saw the documentry, "Vampiro: Angel, Devil, Hero" Which I have been dying to see for two years! And now I finally have. It chronicles the last year in the career of professional wrestling legend Vampiro. It goes deep into his personal life and gives us great insight into one of the coolest most unique characters I have ever seen. I always identified with him, but after seeing the film I identify with Vampiro even more. Shannon even liked it which says a lot cause she has no interest in wrestling. Plus we had FREE BOOZE!!!
Next up Minghags... A film by Bam Margera... A sequel to the Haggard movie... Starring Bam and Dunn and the rest of the CKY crew... A movie we didn't watch. Why because we had no interest. We came so I could see the Vampiro movie, and so Shannon could meet Bam. He wasn't a bad guy. He wasn't a good guy, he barely spoke. He said two sentences that I heard all night and they were both, "I don't remember." Everyone else was very nice and chatty. Bam's parents came and they sat next to us in the theatre. They were very cute and polite, but Shannon felt bad about having to ask them to move when we left. We had been drinking a lot because of the FREE BOOZE and therefore had lost all power to focus. Shannon got her picture with Bam, and I got a salute for my friends Chasity on Vampire Freaks, that may be the funniest picture of all just because it was like, "Here hold this." But Bam was a sport so it all worked well. We hung out with the 941 gang before setting off for Lorrenzo's and then home. And now pictures!!!
