Pop doesn't make promises...
Okay it's been a while so here it is finally my Christmas/New Year's update.
What did I do?
What swag did I score?
All this and more!!!
First and foremost tonight I achieved a small level of greatness. I just randomly entered a search into eBay for an album that never ever goes up and bam there it was. Six hours later I won.
Graves - Web of Dharma!!!
I've been looking for this album since 2003 when it first went out of print, and now after spending a great deal of money I have it!!!
Okay so Christmas came and went. This year I felt it lacked a certain amount oh punch that it normally packs. This year I felt very distant from everyone, and so it never really felt like the holiday for me. Except for a few times. When Mary and I exchanged gifts and when I saw Shannon light up opening hers. Other than that and Christmas Eve dinner it was kind of a let down.
So now on with the swag.
I scored some clothes not much a couple of pair of pants

The Dreaming: Etched in Blood
Joy Division Box Set
Lost Tracks of Danzig

So a good hall.
New Year's was a joke I worked half the night and by the time I got home everyone was out doing things so I just went to bed early. I've worked the last ten New year's eves. So I really didn't know what to do when I got home early. And the next day it got worse because the College Bowl games are on a weird schedule. I miss having all the football on at once.
Tonight I found and old friend online and we talked for a good hour. It was so weird. i never get on messenger and neither does she so after like four and a half years we reconnected. It's funny how people come and go in my life. It's very circular
There's two weeks left in the Bush administration, and I'm damn glad to be rid of him. Obama has a lot of work ahead of him.
I am tired of the Israeli conflict. Infact I'm tired of Israel. It always seems like there is a problem over there, and my personal point of view is that they bring it on themselves. Ever since they supplanted Palestine as a country it seems that they have never attempted to tolerate the Palestinians. They force them to live in certain areas and then from time to time they go pick a fight. It reminds me of the way America has treated the Native Americans or how we we've treated every other country over the last fifty years.
Tomorrow is a new day, and I'll wake up to a pop song on the radio it will be light and novel, and it won't make promises it can't own up to. If I'm lucky it will have a nice hook and get stuck in my head. And carry me through my dentist appointment.
And now for something completely different.
