Uvulitis
Yep I got it, add one more on the pile of freaky weird injuries and diseases I get that no one has ever heard.
So for those of you not in the know, Uvulitis is when the Uvula, you know the little fleshy ball hanging in the back of your mouth, becomes inflamed and grows 3-5 times in size. This is the sensation I woke up with at 9 AM this morning. I had to try very hard not to choke on it. So I went to the hospital thinking my tonsils were going to be yanked but no I got this really annoying disease.
What causes Uvulitis you may ask well in short everything. Dehydration, usually from a dry arid environment, deserts, tundras, and air conditioning. Smoking, secondhand smoking or other airborne irritants, so my girlfriend and best friend smoke and I work around smoking. Snoring... Pauses the laughter, yes I snore and possibly have a mild form of sleep apnea, which this condition aggravates cause I can swallow my uvula and die. Both viral and bacterial infection, well I've had a cold for a week so that could explain the viral and bacterial I did eat McDonalds last night and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the food was less than clean. Undercooked double cheeseburgers perhaps? And finally allergic reactions particularly to medications. I was taking medication this week because my gout, yet another annoying disease, had flared up. Also gout is agitated by acetaminophen which is in practically all aspirin and cold medicine. Man I have the weirdest luck?
So tomorrow, I'm going to do follow-up with my doctor and find out what if anything I'm allergic to. Also my blood pressure shot to a new height today 180/90.
If I were a dog I'd be named Lucky.
