Today was the first day I left the house other than for work in eleven days...
It was a harsh experience to say the least.
I went to the mall of all places and not even the good mall but the run down mall with all the crap stores in it. The kind of mall you don't exactly feel safe in.
I bought seven comic books at the collectibles store. This store is older than I am. I remember when I was a child and the mall was the only one, this store use to be next to the Orange Julius, when I started collecting comics the cover price was 75 cents today they were priced between 3.50-3.99, inflation is a pretty incredible thing when you think about it. Everything goes up but the wages.
I bought a slice of pizza that was more grease than anything else. I could have rung it out in my hands.
I went to see "In Bruges" today, which turned out to be the best movie I've seen in a really long time. I really identified with Collin Farrel's character of a hit man on the lam. He was socially awkward, a little twisted, self loathing, and constantly in flux, I swore whoever wrote story must have followed me around and then gave me an Irish accent. Plus his character was really obsessed with midgets, and anyone who knows me, knows midgets are one of my favorite subjects. The movie was really great I feel ashamed for having waited as long as I did to go and see it. It had everything, a tragic ending, just my taste.
Today is a sad day.
