You're living in the past, like hula-hoops and a democratically elected government.
So it's been a while... Or maybe it hasn't. I don't know anymore, I'm kinda walking around in a haze, but then again what do I know. So I went to See Grindhouse last week, and let me tell you it was awesome!!! I love the experience, the cracks in the film, the cheesy trailers, (Werewolf Women of the SS, Rob Zombie is awesome) missing reels, and Rose McGowan with a Machine-gun-leg! Planet Terror, was cool, Freddy Rodriguez was a total badass! And the love scene with the peg-leg was hysterical! I was sure that nothing could touch it! Next came Death Proof, and at first it was a little slow, but by the second act the film had quickened up to my favorite of the too, and Zoe Bell was priceless! "I'm okay" Had me laughing for hours. Three hours and twenty minutes was well worth the 6.25 I paid. But unfortunately it didn't do well. And I have read that there's talk that they're going to split the films up... What the fuck? Is everything about the bottom line anymore? Where's the appreciation for the art? You know what did make money? Fucking Blades of Glory! How pathetic is that? The jokes just look like total shit, and it's number one!!! Okay I'll calm down now... "Hot Fuzz" Friday go see it!
So then Swabby and myself went to see VNV Nation a few times over the weekend. They're great, now mind you I own, only a single VNV record but they are one of my favorite live acts the passion and energy in their show is just amazing!! And One was cool too! I met Steve briefly in Philadelphia, and he was a really genuine guy, but I got only a few pictures as we had to check our camera's because some guy at the Miami show decided to record every single song and post it on Youtube. So every night we took our cameras, and every night we checked them... I like the Philadelphia show best because the crowd was the largest and they were really into it. Ronan came out and was like OMG! We sold out the Trocadero!!! And the thought occurred that they were the first electro band that I've ever seen do that, so they were very overwhelmed by the crowd! They did like four or five encores it was nuts!!!
Here's my shitty phone pics!

VNV Nation
We hung around with Angel Joe, Ayla, and Chris in Philly, and went for Chinese after, as Swabby wasn't old enough for the after-party.Joe got pretty cracked up by my drink order, and watching Swabby put the moves on Joe's gal was priceless!! Now NY was an ordeal in itself? It took us two hours to catch a bus as they kept filling up on us, and then we got stuck at the Lincoln tunnel for over an hour, and then we screwed up on the Subway as I mistook Washington Square for Union Square, but after all the ordeal we got to the show just as the doors opened. Jet bought my extra ticket as a certain "friend" bagged on us at the last minute. Inside we ran into Herman and Jaime which was cool, cause I haven't seen them since Razed In Black...
It was a full weekend. And then yesterday Some guy shot up Virginia Tech... And I said please, please, please, let him not own a Marilyn Manson album, make it Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand or Yanni! But unfortunately this guy was Korean so that's going to be the spin this time, as this random act of violence will become a terrorist incident leading up to the U.S.- Korean War part 2... France and the foreign Legion is looking better and better.

Also The Gene Generation is coming out on Halloween!!! Watch the Teasers!!! Finally I've waited so long for this one!

I wouldn't so much call myself depressed. Exasperated, confused, lonely but not alone, yet content for the most part.
Yeah, I'm totally seeing Hot Fuzz, but Friday I have bigger responsibities. It's 420, yo!
