I have one NOFX cd, "Ribbed" and I've never listened to it infact it's not really mine it's someone else's I think I was letting them borrow the Crow soundtrack and I took that. I'm not sure why. I don't really like NOFX, I can sing three songs off of Punk in Drublic verbatum to this day but I never really got into the band. It was the 90's remember right after Grunge when Epitaph was all the rage because the Offspring and Rancid broke platinum? I look at my cd collection, I mean how could I not it takes up alot of room, and I pick up a cd and it brings back so many memories. The first three cds I owned were Van Halen's "0U812", David Bowie's "Diamond Dogs", and Led Zeppelin "III" yes I know I had really bad taste at the time and have since used the Zeppelin as skeet. The first cd I bought with my own money was Aerosmith's "Get a Grip" man how dated is that? I remember the day. The snow had left, and the parking lot of our building was sheeted with ice, and on my way to the mall I fell down and almost killed myself =) I bought a cd by some wanna be tribal influenced cock-rock band called the Almighty for 2.99 in Sam Goody's discount bin with Stefan Mulder when I was like 16. The one ballad is rather good but those are the breaks. The first car accident I ever got in was in a post office parking lot, it wasn't bad but I felt really dumb for hitting a parked car. I bought an Armored Saint cd that day. The night I lost my virginity I had Nine Inch Nails "Broken" in the player and I'm pretty sure "Physical" was playing. Wow it really is amazing the way I can remember things like this. I remembered when what type of music you listened to was a criteria for whether or not we could hang out. I remember being at a vulnerable spot listening to Public Image Ltd. Getting my head kicked in to Lynard Skynard. The Falling in love with FM Einheit playing ten feet behind me. You know in my collection there's a cd, song, verse for everyone I have ever known. Something from every moment in my life. "Well, your CD collection looks shiny and costly.
How much did you pay for your bad Moto Guzzi?" ~ Cake "Rock N Roll Lifestyle" Well I don't have bad Moto Guzzi, but I did get Bad Motor Finger for Christmas.
