so i'm back from buffalo.
i have to say that my first ever experience with Black Friday was not as exciting as i thought it would be.
as the news and as papers have been saying, i agree with the deals being shitty.
Both ian_g and i were not going for any doorbusters, but just some xmas shopping. A handful of stores at the Walden Galleria opened at 5am and we got to the mall just after 5:30.
The only thing that i got on sale that was on my shopping list was a DVD player i got at Target for $29.99 which was about 50% off.
Most of the sales at stores were BUY ONE GET ONE HALF PRICE or AN EXTRA 30% OFF SALE ITEMS. Nothing to cause a stampede for.
It was fun being able to shop at the mall before normal hours. In fact we left the mall by 9am.
And the mall didn't even seem to be overly busy. Felt like shopping on a Saturday.
I bought Jessica Simpon's Fancy at Macy's in the gift set for $69.00.
I have to say i'm in love with it.
I also brought back 15 bottles of vitaminwater. I'm addicted to the stuff and the states has a few different flavours then in canada.
all in all not impressed with Black friday.
anyone else go?
